Scope
3D building blocks
Debris is a collection of 13 photogrammetry-based 3D assets created from real-world bricks, concrete fragments and stones. The project focused on preserving the irregular forms, damaged edges and surface detail found in discarded construction materials, turning them into reusable building blocks for digital environments.

Optimised for production, but with plenty of detail for close-up shots.
REDUCED GEOMETRY · NORMAL + DISPLACEMENT DETAIL · REAL-WORLD SCALE

Capturing imperfection
Each object was photographed, reconstructed and processed into a production-ready asset, with particular attention given to retaining the imperfections that make scanned objects feel convincing when placed in a scene. The final collection was assembled into a Cinema 4D asset library for easy reuse across different projects.
Cross-polarized lighting was used during capture to reduce specular reflections and produce cleaner surface information. The resulting textures were then processed and delit to remove baked-in illumination, creating more neutral materials that respond naturally to lighting inside the 3D scene.
