Scope

Web Design

A complete redesign of Maxon’s corporate website, covering both the visual direction of the site and the way Cinema 4D’s features and capabilities were communicated. The new design used a restrained palette that placed the software and its imagery at the centre of the experience.

Explaining the capabilities and features of a complex application like Cinema 4D, while also showcasing the work of its community, was at the heart of the redesign. This meant that a big part of the project was defining how content would be presented throughout the site, from the overall structure and copy to the banners, feature graphics and animated GIFs used across individual pages.

Custom graphics and animation was used throughout the website’s pages, communicating tools and features without relying on lengthy descriptions. Animated GIFs became an especially useful part of the visual language, adding movement and character to the pages.
